I Ditched Santa for the South Pole.

Why I spent my Christmas Holiday in the Caribbean…

I am a Traveler — who shares my life with the World. I inspire people to do the same through my shares. And I’m glad to see more people globetrotting. It’s not a luxury, a privilege yes….but luxury is for Waldorf Astoria Guests and $300 USD 6 Course Meal Guest. What I mean is just seeing the World. On your own time. On your own dime (budget, travel!)

Who says that a getaway has to happen during the Summer or during Spring Break? I did like Jamie Lee Curtis in “Christmas with the “Kranks” and ditched the whole Santa scene for a peaceful — Serene, Earth Grounding Getaway in the Islands — Grenada (for a Wellness Retreat that I hosted)and Trinidad and Tobago. Yes — best decision ever. It was hot…but I wasn’t bothered.

No matter how hard, I try. No meditation can seem to drown out the sound of popular Christmas Music circulating on the radio, in stores….all around — push consumerism and these phony Holiday stories about God blessing the poor and underprivileged. It’s time to WAKE UP. There are Wars happening, Political Blasphemy taking place, Illiteracy plaguing the next generation, Scandals, the spread of new Diseases and more…

This Season — the Winter should be a time of Hibernation, Rest and Reflection of all the many Blessings we do have; spend time in deep meditation on ways to move forward. Not a hustle to get even more… so many continue to miss this. And I didn’t want to get sucked into the misery of it All. So I left. Or I should say, stayed away and for a good cause. Energetically I could feel the weight of the World lifting off of me as I turned away. Taking flight and not looking back. And rightfully so.

Christmas was spent in the South Pole this Year. I’m sure Santa survived his roofing-runs without me:)
